LIST: Freebies for veterans this weekend

With Veteran's Day a few days away, participating businesses are getting ready to offer military discounts to show its appreciation.

 

Colorado Springs is a military community, so the list could go on for days. 

 

Here is just a list of some of the deal's going on for the rest of the week:

  • Meineke: Active and retired members of the military can present their military ID at a participating Meineke location and get a free basic oil change on November 11.

 

  • Great Clips: Active and retired members of the military can get a free haircut on November 11. If they want to take advantage of the deal, but can't get a haircut on Saturday, they can visit a participating store and get a rain check haircut card.

 

 

  • National Parks: As a way to acknowledge Veteran's Day, the National Park Service is offering free entry into all National Parks. This treat isn't only for veterans, anyone can get in free.

  • BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse: Free entrée under $12.95 on Friday and Saturday. Plus, get a free BJ’s beer, which was donated by a community member. Learn more at www.bjsrestaurants.com/hero.

  • IHOP: Get a free stack of Red, White and Blue pancakes or a patriotic pancake combo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at participating locations. The deal varies by location.

  • Applebee's: Stop into a participating Applebee's on Saturday, November 11, 2017, to get your Veterans day free meal. You will have to present a valid military ID.

  • Olive Garden: Olive Garden is having a Veterans Day free meal for all active-duty military and military veterans on Saturday, November 11, 2017.

  • Chili's: Visit a participating Chili's on Saturday, November 11, 2017, to get your Veterans Day free meal if you are a veteran or on active military duty.

  • TGI Fridays: TGI Fridays will be having free lunch for all veterans and active-duty military on Saturday, November 11, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Texas Roadhouse: Texas Roadhouse will be giving away Veterans Day free meals for lunch on Saturday, November 11, 2017, to active, former, or retired military.

  • Outback Steakhouse: Stop into any Outback Steakhouse on November 11, 2017, to get a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage. This offer is for all military personnel that has military ID.
